To Let Go Or Not – How To Get Over Heartbreaks

We often get stuck in life. If we inquire into what is stopping us to move ahead, we may be surprised to find that we are carrying excessive emotional baggage. Being overburdened with feelings and emotions we, tend to hold on, most of the times to our past.

Being reluctant to start a new life or get a fresh start, we miss out on opportunities. It is fear which makes us behave this way. Holding on to hope is good but not to anything else. Be it a bereavement, a loss, a major incident that pushed one to the sidelines, any incident or material possession is not worthy of our time.

According to Sheila Moon from Psychic2Tarot, oftentimes when we hold on to things that aren't right for us it's because we're afraid of what's going to happen if we let them go. The first step towards letting go can be taken by accepting that we have grown comfortable in a disposition which is limiting us. There can be many such things that we need to let go off immediately.

Things You Can Let Go Off

There are many things that are slowing us down. It is time to bring in some acceleration. In order to do so, we must let go of

Anger

When we are angry, we lose clarity. We get so overcome with this emotion that it becomes impossible for us to have an impartial outlook. With clouded judgment, anger makes things worse. We lose focus and get consumed by detecting and even hatred. When we let go of anger, we immediately welcome peace. Along with it comes wisdom and we gain perspective.

Expectation

Be it a person or situation, we should not dwell on expectation. It makes us see things from our perspective and not the reality. With too much of expectation, we limit the truth and choose to believe what we are comfortable in. By letting go, we will gain more control over our own actions. Many factors determine the outcome. By having unrealistic expectations we set our self on a journey to be disappointed.

Relationship

Thinking about a past relationship is perhaps one of the most consuming things that we can do. With the penetrative reach of social media, one might have the urge to keep an eye on exes. This exercise almost gets us numb. We invest our self in such meaningless activity that we leave no time to nurture the meaningful relationship that we already have. Once we close the door to our past, a new chapter begins in our life.

Greed

This feeling overwhelms us. We tend to get more and more interested in what is not ours. By letting go of greed, we can help build our self-confidence and self-esteem. Instead of unfair options, by letting go of greed, we start developing skills to cope and perform better in life.

When we become hopeful, we find ways to overcome negative feelings. By letting go, we find our liberated soul who can easily be happy and content.
